Source Feybound pg. 45
Cast 3 days; Cost a piece of the target's body (a lock of hair, a small vial of blood, etc.), First World herbs worth the target's level × 50 gp, and the heart of the creature you wish to turn the target into; Secondary Casters 3
Primary Check Occultism (master); Secondary Checks Nature, Performance, Society
Range 15 miles; Target(s) 1 creature
Duration a year and a day
You look within the heart of the target and give it a form that reflects its true self. Over the course of the casting, the target slowly transforms into an animal representing its most recent or most heinous transgression—a bull for rage, a pig for greed and gluttony, a swan for vanity, and so on. The ritual concludes with inserting a piece of the target into the chosen animal’s heart and burying it at a crossroads. You can Dismiss this ritual.
Critical SuccessThe target transforms fully into the animal and remains in that form for the duration. It keeps its mind but can’t speak or otherwise communicate in a way that an animal wouldn’t. If the ritual reaches its full duration without you Dismissing it, the target becomes the animal permanently in both body and mind.
SuccessAs critical success, but the target returns to its original form at the end of the duration.
FailureThe target partially transforms and is aware you were the primary caster. For 1 week, the target has visible animal traits and is clumsy 1 and stupefied 1.
Critical FailureThe ritual reflects back on you, transforming you into an appropriate creature for 1 week.
