House spirits (or other helpful fey) usually need an ongoing relationship with mortals to do chores for them, but this ritual expedites the process. Typically, multiple fey work in concert to clean the target in 1–2 hours. This is mundane cleaning with manual labor, so it might not be possible for the fey to remove some stains or polish out certain deep scratches, for example. The fey clean indiscriminately, so anything you wish to remain untouched needs to be removed from the area first. The mess has to go somewhere, so the fey choose a dumping ground at least 500 feet away from your target; you can’t control exactly where.
Critical SuccessThe fey shovel up messes, sweep and dust, wash with soap, and polish to a shine.
SuccessAs critical success, but choose only one cleaning task.
FailureThe fey don’t respond.
Critical FailureThe fey refuse to clean, and you can’t attempt the ritual again for the same location for 1 week.
Heightened (2nd) The ritual targets any number of rooms in an area up to 250 feet in any dimension.
