Defense Fortitude; Duration varies
Inky energy seeps into your target's shadow, giving it a chance to free itself. The target attempts a Fortitude save.
Critical SuccessThe target is unaffected.
SuccessThe shadow's freedom is short lived. The target is enfeebled 1 for 1 minute.
FailureThe creature is afflicted with dusk's freedom at stage 1. The Fortitude DC to recover is equal to your spell DC.
Critical FailureAs failure, but the creature is afflicted at stage 2.
Dusk's Freedom (curse) Level 7; Stage 1 enfeebled 2 (1 round);
Stage 2 enfeebled 3 (1 round); Stage 3 enfeebled 4 and the shadow detaches as an independent creature. Use the statistics for a shadow, though it can't create shadow spawn. The shadow is friendly to the curse's caster and hostile to the creature it was attached to. The stage can't be reduced until the shadow is slain, which immediately ends the curse.
Heightened (6th) The curse’s level increases to 11. At stage 3, instead of a shadow, you create a greater shadow (Monster Core 306).
