Traditions occult
Range 30 feet; Targets 1 creature
Defense Will; Duration varies
You curse the target to speak in rhyme, disrupting its ability to communicate normally or cast spells. The target must attempt a Will save.
Critical SuccessThe target is unaffected.
SuccessFor 1 round, whenever the target uses an action with the linguistic trait or Casts a Spell, it must succeed at a DC 5 flat check or the action is disrupted. However, the target also gains a +1 circumstance bonus to Performance checks to sing, perform poetry, or do any other task that would benefit from the ability to rhyme effortlessly (at the GM’s discretion). The target automatically succeeds at the flat check to attempt actions with the linguistic trait that include such a check and can attempt them even if the target is untrained in Performance and the action normally requires it to be trained.
FailureAs success, but the flat check DC is 8 and the duration is 1 hour.
Critical FailureAs failure, but the effect is permanent.
