You can scratch out and rewrite part of an elemental rune to temporarily change the type of power it channels. You touch an adjacent corrosive, flaming, frost, shock, or thundering rune on an unattended item or one held or worn by a willing creature, and you change it to any other rune from that list. You can also revise the greater version of any of the above runes into the greater version of any other rune on the list (for instance, greater corrosive into greater frost). The revision lasts for 1 minute before the rune’s original magic reasserts itself.
