You quickly pass through the First World to reach a nearby destination. You instantly teleport to an empty space that you can see up to 40 feet away. If this would bring another creature with you—even if you're carrying it in an extradimensional container—the action is lost.

Teleportation:
Teleportation effects instantaneously move something from one point in space to another. Teleportation does not usually trigger reactions based on movement.
