Wild HunterSource Feybound pg. 30Few mortals have the opportunity to learn from the ancient, nigh-mythical
wild hunt without abandoning their current life to join it or becoming its victim. Those who do—by catching the eye of an especially capricious fey hunter, by drawing on a shared bloodline, or even by managing to escape the hunt—gain access to an ancient and primal power source that surrounds them in a shroud of fey energy, enhancing their weapons and befuddling their foes. While such mortals aren't truly part of the wild hunt, their ancient fey allies empower them with a fraction of their own skill.
Most mortal wild hunters eventually join the hunt in full, losing their mortality when deemed to have been sufficiently trained. Others are pursued across the land by rival hunts offended by the idea of a mortal wielding their power or the continued existence of a lost quarry. While they remain living and mortal, however, these relentless warriors are skilled and highly sought-after additions to a hunting party.

You understand some of the wild hunt's techniques and can use them to form a primal bond with a trusted ally, much as members of the hunt do. You speak and understand
Fey, gain
darkvision, and gain the
Additional Lore feat for Hunting Lore.
In addition, during your daily preparations, you can choose an ally as your hunting partner. They remain so until you choose a new hunting partner. You gain a wild link aura in a 60-foot emanation that has the aura and
primal traits. While your hunting partner is in the emanation of your wild link aura, they can speak and understand Fey and gain darkvision.

Your charmed shots twist around branches and leaves, leaving your hapless prey without shelter from your barrage. While in this stance, your ranged attacks ignore concealment and cover from natural sources, such as foliage or mist. In addition, if you have access to the bow’s critical specialization effect, you apply it even if a creature you critically hit isn’t adjacent to a surface or would otherwise be immune due to being incorporeal or liquid, your arrows splintering into vines that entangle the target.
If your hunting partner is in the emanation of your wild link aura while you’re in this stance, they gain the same benefits, but they must have access to the bow’s critical specialization effect to apply the effect to creatures they critically hit).

Nature
Fey magic duplicates your footsteps or the hoofbeats of your mount, filling the wilderness around your quarry and running them ragged until they’re softened for the kill. When you
Track a single creature, you can also attempt a Nature check against a standard DC for your quarry’s level. If you do, Track gains the
illusion and
primal traits.
Critical SuccessThe creature becomes
frightened 1 and
fatigued for as long as it’s frightened, and it can’t reduce its frightened value below 1 until you stop Tracking it. If you enter an encounter that includes the creature while Tracking it, it can’t reduce its frightened condition until after you’ve taken your first turn.
SuccessAs critical success, but the creature isn’t fatigued for as long as it’s frightened.
Critical FailureYou become fatigued until your next daily preparations or until the end of your first turn in an encounter that includes the creature, whichever comes first.
Archetype Source Feybound pg. 30Archetype Wild HunterPrerequisites Wild Hunter Dedication; trained in light or medium armor
The hides and bones of mighty beasts and the leaves and bark of the old-cold forest become your second skin, concealing your body and leaving it unhindered to better partake in the wild hunt. You gain the armor specialization effects for light and medium armor from the
leather,
skeletal, and
wood armor groups. You don't become
fatigued if you sleep while wearing such armor.
In addition, while you wear such armor, you can
Impersonate creatures with the
animal,
beast,
fey, or
plant traits, so long as they're either the same size as you or one size larger. Impersonate gains the
illusion and
primal traits when used this way. Impersonating a larger creature doesn't change your size.

You've created or been given one of the weapons of living wood or crystal wielded by the wild hunt. Your living weapon can be any common simple or martial weapon, or any other simple or martial weapon to which you have access, except it must be made of wood or crystal and gains the
primal trait. Your living weapon has the effects of a
shifting rune, except that it can also take the shape of a ranged weapon or an innocuous form, such as a walking stick, when activated. This rune doesn't count toward the weapon's maximum number of property runes. If your living weapon is destroyed, you can regrow it in your hands during your next daily preparations; the replacement retains any runes the weapon had before it was destroyed.

You’ve secured a piece of the fabled power possessed by the antlered monarchs of the hunt in the form of one of their gnarled hunting horns. If the horn is on your person during your daily preparations, you can choose up to three additional allied creatures as your hunting partners, who remain so until you choose new hunting partners or the horn is lost or destroyed. These additional hunting partners benefit from your wild hunter feats as your normal hunting partner would.
If your horn is lost or destroyed, it takes 1 week to find or create a new one.
