Shrouds

Source Feybound pg. 51
Patterned with morbid designs, shrouds give their wearers a small say in what happens to them at the moment of death.

When you invest a shroud, you mentally prepare for death and designate your next of kin, a sentient creature you define by name or by precisely describing their relation to you (such as parent, eldest child, or spouse's sibling). For as long as you wear the shroud, your designated next of kin knows the value of your dying condition and whether you're alive or dead, even if you're on different planes. You can change your designated next of kin while making your daily preparations.
