Every pixie portal takes the form of an exceptionally well-crafted tiny door, seemingly made for a creature of exceedingly small stature. These miniature wooden gateways are typically framed in silver and brightly colored, with greens and purples being common hues. Pixie portals can be carried but are most often nestled at the bases of trees or hidden in cottage gardens.
Activate—Knock Knock Knock [three-actions] (manipulate); Effect The pixie portal streaks out to float vertically in the air, expanding in short bursts of movement until it reaches a size large enough for you to easily walk through. The door remains this size for up to 1 minute or until six creatures enter, after which it closes and reappears back in your hand. The expanded door leads to an extradimensional space of peaceful gardens and a welcoming abode. In most cases, this takes the form of a comely cottage wreathed in ivy. Inside this cozy facade are up to six fully furnished rooms and a common area. There are never more rooms than people to use them (i.e., if four people entered, four rooms would appear, alongside the common room). The common room is always warmed by a fire and stocked with enough basic provisions to meet the nutritional needs of all guests. Guests can activate the door from inside the garden in the same way they used to enter.
If the cottage is treated with respect and is well-kept by repeat visitors, the rooms begin to tailor themselves to their favorite visitors. These tailored rooms might feature bookshelves, shrines, or other furniture. Additionally, the food served will be to the taste of the cottage’s favorite guests.
