Food FightHazard 2

Complex Haunt
Source For the Cause pg. 34
Complexity Complex
Stealth Stealth +8 (trained)
Description Ghostly food appears on cracked plates as they float above the table. The faint outline of children can occasionally be seen as the ectoplasmic food is flung throughout the room.
Disable DC 17 Occultism (trained) to weaken the spiritual energy in the room, DC 18 Acrobatics (trained) to pluck a floating plate out of the air, or DC 19 Intimidation (trained) to reprimand one of the ghostly children for their poor behavior; each successful check disables one of four plates.
AC 18, Fort +6, Ref +10
Hardness 5 (plate), HP 10 per plate; Immunities critical hits, precision damage
Dinner Bell [reaction] (auditory, occult, sonic) Trigger A creature moves adjacent to the set table; Effect A loud phantom dinner bell rings before the plates begin to tremble and hover. Each creature in the room takes 2d6+2 sonic damage (DC 17 basic Fortitude save). The haunt then rolls initiative.
Routine (4 actions) For each plate disabled or destroyed, the haunt has 1 fewer action. On each action, spectral food is flung off a plate at a different living creature in the room. This ranged Strike doesn't provoke reactions. A creature critically hit by a flung food Strike is also dazzled for 1 round.

Ranged flung food +11 (occult, spirit) Damage 1d10+4 spirit; no range increment or multiple attack penalty
Reset The haunt deactivates 1 minute after all creatures leave the room or after all four plates are destroyed. After 1 hour, if at least one plate remains, the haunt reactivates. If disabled, the haunt resets after 1 day and the plates magically reassemble. The haunt is permanently destroyed when the attic whisperer in area D5 is destroyed.
