Description A large patch of moss ripples like the surface of a pond as spears of green plant matter jut outward.
Disable DC 17 Nature or Occultism twice to cut off the unstable connection to the Plane of Wood, or dispel magic (2nd rank; counteract DC 16) to counteract the planar magic
Planar Ripple [reaction] (wood) Trigger Two or more non-plant creatures step onto the moss pond; Effect The moss pond ripples oddly as its connection to the Plane of Wood intensifies. Each creature on the pond must succeed at a DC 17 Reflex save or be knocked prone. A creature who critically fails the save also takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage from the fall. The pond then rolls initiative.
Routine (2 actions) For each action, the moss pond makes a spore spear Strike against a random non-plant creature on or within 10 feet of the moss pond. Melee [one-action] spore spear +9 (reach 10 feet, poison, wood); Damage 1d6+1 piercing plus 1d4 poison; no multiple attack penalty
Reset If the trap isn’t disabled, it becomes dormant for 10 minutes if there are no creatures on or within 10 feet of the moss patch at the start of its turn.
