Description A torrent of souls pulled from Hell pours through an archway, inflicting their personal suffering on all they touch.
Disable DC 50 Occultism (master) or Religion (master) to quell the souls’ suffering; these checks must be attempted while adjacent to the arch, and four total successes are required to disable the haunt
Rising Tide of Screams [reaction] (auditory, divine, emotion, fear, mental) Trigger A living creature comes within 15 feet of the arch; Effect The sounds of screams from the damned intensify as the arch begins to glow with planar energy. Each living creature within 60 feet of the arch must attempt a DC 48 Will saving throw. The haunt then rolls initiative.

Critical Success The creature is unaffected.
Success The creature is frightened 2.
Failure The creature is frightened 3 and can’t reduce its frightened condition below 1 for the haunt’s duration.
Critical Failure The creature is frightened 4 and can’t reduce its frightened condition below 2 for the duration of the haunt.
Routine (1 action; divine, void) A seemingly endless flow of damned spirits emerges from the arch and washes down the street. Each creature within a 240-foot line from the arch down the street takes 4d10+24 void damage with a DC 44 Fortitude save. This line affects everyone within 20 feet of the ground.
Critical Success The creature is unaffected.
Success The creature takes half damage.
Failure The creature takes full damage and increases its doomed value by 1.
Critical Failure The creature takes double damage and increases its doomed value by 2.
Reset After 1 minute, the wave of souls dries up, and the haunt deactivates. Over the course of 1 hour, planar energy rebuilds in the area, and the haunt resets.
