The Sky Is BurningHazard 5

Unique Complex Haunt
Source The Haunted Shore pg. 25
Complexity Complex
Stealth +13 (expert)
Description Fires suddenly spring up along the rafters of the exposed roof as strange, monstrous shapes can be glimpsed in the sky above, which is suddenly filled with smoke.
Disable DC 26 Survival (trained) to extinguish fires swiftly or DC 23 Religion (expert) to exorcise the haunt; two total successes are required to disable the haunt
The Sky Breathes Smoke [reaction] Trigger A living creature ends their turn inside the schoolroom; Effect Harrowing shrieks and frightening howls echo from the skies above as smoke plumes down into the rooms below. All creatures in the schoolhouse (areas A4a–A4c) must attempt a DC 21 Fortitude save to avoid becoming sickened 1 from the smoke (sickened 2 on a critical failure). The haunt then rolls initiative.
Routine (4 actions) Ghostly figures flying in the skies above hurl bits of burning debris down into the three rooms of the schoolhouse below. The haunt uses its first three actions to target a random creature within the schoolhouse with a burning debris ranged Strike. A creature can’t be targeted more than once per round—if there aren’t enough targets for all 3 Strikes, the leftover Strike actions are wasted. On its fourth action, the haunt causes the fires in the building itself to flare up— all creatures inside the building take 2d8 fire damage (DC 21 basic Reflex save). These flare-ups are the most extreme in area A4a; creatures in areas A4b or A4c gain a +2 circumstance bonus on this Reflex save.
Ranged [one-action] burning debris +15, Damage 1d6 bludgeoning plus 1d6 fire
Reset The haunt deactivates and then resets after 1 round in which no living creatures are within the schoolhouse.
