Apocalypse StormfrontHazard 19

Unique Complex Mythic Nightmare
Source Pathfinder #220: Crypt of Runes pg. 70
Complexity Complex
Stealth +37 (legendary)
Description An endless void stretches in all directions. Visions of Golarion’s destruction roll like storm clouds across the space.
Disable DC 47 Acrobatics to Fly through the space without becoming stuck in the webs, DC 50 Athletics to Climb the webs and make progress forward through the infinite, DC 47 Nature or Occultism or DC 50 Arcana or Religion (legendary) to collapse the extradimensional space, or DC 52 Perception to peer through the visions of Golarion to notice discrepancies that help keep the overwhelming despair from setting in; six successes disables the hazard, causing it to vanish forever and shunting all creatures to Liralarue’s Prison.
Brewing Storm [reaction] (occult) Trigger A creature enters the shaft leading to area C8; Effect Storm clouds roiling with gouts of fire, bolts of lightning, and the wails of uncountable souls form in the distance. The hazard then rolls initiative.
Routine (1 action) (arcane, emotion, illusion, mental) A stormfront filled with illusory scenes of Golarion’s destruction rolls through the extradimensional space. Each creature in the hazard’s area takes 6d12 mental damage (DC 42 basic Will save). On a failed save, a creature is also doomed 1 (doomed 2 on a critical failure). A PC reduced to 0 Hit Points by this damage is shunted back into area C7. A creature that takes damage while Climbing the webs must succeed at a DC 40 Fortitude save or fall. A creature can try to Grab an Edge (Reflex DC 40). On a success, they lose one success they’ve earned to escape the hazard but otherwise arrest their fall. On a failure, they plummet into the void, losing all Athletics successes they’ve earned to escape the hazard. Each round on their turn, the character can try to Grab an Edge again, but each time they fail to do so, the party must earn an additional success to escape the hazard. Characters who fall unconscious or repeatedly fail to Grab an Edge might effectively become lost in the void, though once the nightmare hazard is disabled, they appear along with the rest of the PCs in Liralarue’s Prison.
Reset The hazard resets automatically once no creatures are in the area.
