Orphne

Orphnes are cruel and enigmatic fey courtiers obsessed with exploring the artistry of decay. They’re unnervingly beautiful, yet leave behind slow rot wherever they linger. Though interested in all forms of decomposition, orphnes are particularly enamored with mortal death as a canvas for elegance. Most have a fascination with undeath, practicing necromancy in pursuit of the aesthetics of stillness, preservation, and cruel irony. Despite their sadism, orphnes carefully follow the refined manners of high society. They expect reverence or admiration, and they often grow dangerous when denied it.

Sidebar - Locations Cruel Exiles

Their obsession with twisting and decaying beauty causes many orphnes to be exiled from the First World. While most fey are no strangers to cruelty, they prefer to keep their beautiful things intact and don’t take kindly to seeing them ruined for an orphne’s pleasure. In the Universe, orphnes rarely form societies of their own, preferring the company of undead thralls.
