Laluxi

Laluxis, also whispered of as “dream scribes” by those few who survive an encounter with one, are ancient, almost-mythical beings who dwell in the drifting silk islands of the Astral Tangle—the volatile borderlands where the First World and the Astral Plane mix.

Laluxis are prophets, poets, and wielders of thought, collecting the dreams and nightmares of fey and mortals alike on their long journeys. They don't speak so much as write into the minds of their victims, filling their heads with lifetimes of dreams through a mere glance. Where they go, dream and reality unravel into thread and tangle together, and minds stretched too tightly might snap.

Laluxis are beautiful creatures of fine fur and featureless black carapaces, with elegant humanoid arms and four shimmering, colorful wings. Their awe-inspiring presence means they're sometimes mistaken for divine messengers. In truth, they serve only their own cryptic purposes, gathering the finest subconscious castoffs to weave into their ever-growing cosmological tapestry.

Sidebar - Locations The Astral Tangle

The Astral Tangle is a swirling convergence where strands of dreams from the Astral Plane tangle with the metaphysical roots of the First World. Here, great silk islands drift endlessly, held together by thought and fate, and time itself stretches and knots. Some powerful and enigmatic fey build their realms here, where only the most worthy can reach them, but laluxis are among the tangle's oldest inhabitants. Their silk-strewn courts shine and sprawl, often mistaken for stars by travelers who peer into the great astral storms.
