Veredram

At first glance, this figure appears to be a humanoid-shaped collection of thorny vines topped with a shock of red hair. Closer inspection reveals glowing red eyes hidden in the morass, full of cruelty and malice. Also known as roseblood sprites, veredrams embody the thorns of the rose—danger and pain hidden amongst beauty.

Sidebar - Related Creatures Corgi Mounts

Corgis have served as sprite mounts for as long as the breed has existed, and many of the dogs even grow “fairy saddles” in their fur. Most fey believed the first corgis were granted a special blessing by the fair folk, though as typical of fey, they all have different stories why. A sprite's corgi mount typically uses the statistics for a guard dog, often with elite adjustments if they're needed to increase its level.

Sprite

Source Monster Core pg. 322
Elusive, flighty, and ebullient, sprites are what many villagers first imagine when they hear the terms “fey” or “fairy.” While their dispositions vary, all sprites share a connection to magic and a diminutive size. This family of fey shares its name with its slightest and most populous member, the common sprite.

Sidebar - Additional Lore Sprite Pranks

Sprite pranks tend to be kind-hearted in nature; they might use their abilities to embarrass a braggart or to trick them into a convoluted scheme to help someone notice an admirer who has been there for them all along. Their plans are often half-baked; sprites' mercurial nature means they can easily become distracted by something new before following through on a previous plan.
