PFS StandardSpellshifter

Source Impossible Magic pg. 102
You may or may not cast spells, but you’ve always possessed an uncanny knack for attuning yourself to the ebb and flow of the mystical currents that power them. Thanks to specialized training or natural aptitude, you’ve honed this gift into the ability to exert a modicum of control over magical spells cast nearby, allowing you to reshape and repurpose their energies to suit your own designs. You might use this talent for any number of purposes: to enhance the spells cast by you or your allies, to weaken and confound magic-wielding enemies, or even just to covertly humiliate rival spellcasters foolish enough to cross you.

As a spellshifter, you carry a special implement called a conduit, a seemingly mundane tool or object that you use to tap into the magical vibrations that suffuse the world around you. Only you can use this conduit, and every spellshifter’s conduit is unique. Yours might represent something distinctive about your personality, your relationship to magic, or the circumstances under which you first discovered your powers.

Spellshifters aren’t widely known in many parts of the world, and individuals with the innate potential to become one are sometimes regarded by distrustful spellcasters as jinxes whose mere presence might cause magic to malfunction or behave unpredictably. Past experience with these sorts of superstitions might drive you to actively conceal your powers from those who might fear them, or it might motivate you to seek out any opportunity to flaunt them openly, refusing to be cowed by the prejudice of others.

PFS StandardSpellshifter Dedication Feat 2

Uncommon Archetype Dedication
Source Impossible Magic pg. 102
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites trained in Arcana

You can exert your will over magical spells cast in your vicinity, potentially altering or controlling their effects. You accomplish this through the use of a spellshifting conduit, a magical object of your choice that has light Bulk and can be held in one hand. If your conduit is lost or destroyed, you can train yourself to use a new one by spending 10 minutes attuning yourself to it. You gain the Shift Spell action and the Share the Burden spellshift.

Shift Spell [one-action] (concentrate, manipulate) Requirements You are within the affected area of an ongoing spell, or you can physically touch an object or creature under the effects of a spell, and you are holding your conduit; Effect Choose a spellshift and attempt an Arcana check against the DC of the spell (or the spell DC of the spellcaster if the spell does not normally have a DC). The caster immediately becomes aware that you’re trying to shift their spell and intuitively knows the potential effects of the shift, but not the result of your skill check. A willing caster can allow you to achieve one degree of success higher than the result of your check. The effects of the check are dependent on the chosen spellshift. Regardless of the result, the spell becomes immune to Shift Spell for 24 hours.

Spellshift—Shift Burden You share the burden of a spell, allowing you to share control with the caster. If Sustaining a spell with this spellshift causes a creature to attempt a saving throw, it is attempted against your Arcana DC instead of the spell’s normal DC. If the spell requires a spell attack roll, make the attack using your Arcana modifier instead of the spell’s normal spell attack modifier.

Critical Success If the spell is sustainable, you can Sustain the spell as a free action as though you had cast the spell. For the remainder of the spell’s duration, you can Sustain the spell as though you were the caster.
Success If the spell is sustainable, you can Sustain the spell as a free action as though you had cast the spell.

Your intuitive understanding of magic allows you to read the energy of a spell in the air. You gain the Analyze Magic spellshift.

Spellshift—Analyze Magic Once you’ve homed in on a spell or magical effect, you can study its unique magical signature to immediately understand exactly what it does.

Critical Success You learn information about the spell or effect as if you had critically succeeded at a skill check to Identify Magic using the appropriate skill for its magical tradition.

PFS StandardElemental Subsitution Feat 4

Archetype
Source Impossible Magic pg. 103
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites Spellshifter Dedication

You can tamper with the elemental energy of a spell. You gain the Elemental Substitution spellshift.

Spellshift—Elemental Substitution Raw elemental energy is the fuel powering some of the most iconic spells of destruction ever devised, and you’ve discovered a method for realigning the magical pathways through which that energy flows into the material world.

Critical Success If the targeted spell inflicts acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic damage, you change its damage type to your choice of one of acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic damage. If the effect has a duration, it inflicts damage of its new type for 1 minute, then returns to normal.
Success As critical success, except if the effect has a duration, it inflicts damage of its new type until the beginning of your next turn, then returns to normal.

PFS StandardSubtle Shift Feat 4

Archetype
Source Impossible Magic pg. 103
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites Spellshifter Dedication

You’ve learned how to hide your meddling from the casters of spells you’re shifting. If your Arcana check when Shifting a Spell is greater than its caster’s Perception DC, you can prevent the caster from learning the effects of the shift you’re attempting to apply. On a critical success, they don’t become aware that you’re applying a shift at all (although the effect of the shift might still give you away).

PFS StandardDismantle Spell Feat 6

Archetype
Source Impossible Magic pg. 103
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites Spellshifter Dedication

Your innate power can shut down other magic. You gain the Dismantle Spell spellshift.

Spellshift—Dismantle Spell You attempt to counteract a spell or at least suppress its effect for a time.

Critical Success The spell is counteracted if its rank is no more than 1 higher than half your level rounded up.
Success The effects of the spell are suppressed until the start of your next turn. If the spell has a duration that is measured in rounds, its duration is extended by 1 round. If the spell does not have a duration, it targets the same creature or area as though it had just been cast at the start of your next turn.

PFS StandardReactive Spellshift [free-action] Feat 6

Archetype Concentrate
Source Impossible Magic pg. 103
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites Spellshifter Dedication
Trigger A creature within 30 feet casts a spell.
Requirements You are holding your conduit.

You can reflexively shift a spell even as it’s being cast. You attempt to Shift the triggering Spell even if you do not meet the other requirements to Shift Spell. On a success, the spellshift automatically applies to the spell’s effects as soon as its activation is complete. After the spellshift is chosen but before you attempted your Arcana check, the caster can choose to immediately cancel the cast, but they lose actions, spell slots, or daily activations as if it had been disrupted. Regardless of the outcome, the caster then becomes immune to your Reactive Spellshift for 10 minutes.

PFS StandardEnhance Spell [one-action] Feat 8

Archetype Concentrate
Source Impossible Magic pg. 103
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites Spellshifter Dedication

You attune your senses to the magical frequencies generated by an allied spellcaster, allowing you to amplify or modify their spells to suit the needs of the moment. Select one willing ally within 30 feet that you can see and choose one of the following spellshape feats: Conceal Spell, Nonlethal Spell, Reach Spell, or Widen Spell. The target gains the benefits of the feat on their next turn as though they had taken the spellshape action themselves; this requires them to Cast a Spell as their first action on their turn.

PFS StandardRedirect Spell Feat 12

Archetype
Source Impossible Magic pg. 103
Archetype Spellshifter
Prerequisites Spellshifter Dedication

You can alter the flow of magic around you, moving a spell effect from one target to another. You gain the Redirect Magic spellshift.

Spellshift—Redirect Magic Through sheer force of will, you can direct a spell’s energies away from its caster’s intended target.

Critical Success You change a single target of the spell to another viable target within 30 feet of you (even if it would be outside of the spell’s normal range). You can’t use this spellshift to affect a creature twice with the same spell. If the spell had an initial saving throw, the new target must attempt it, possibly achieving a different result than the original target of the spell. The DC for the spell becomes your Arcana DC instead of the original caster’s spell DC.
Success As critical success, but if the target succeeds at any required saving throw, they are unaffected, and the spell does not change targets.
