PFS StandardTelastmar (The Cosmic Dyne)

Source Divine Mysteries pg. 316
Whether mortals realize it or not, the stars, moons, systems, and galaxies of the Universe all flow in accordance with ancient and fundamental laws set in motion at the dawn of creation. Though magic might pull them from their charted course, even this movement is guided by a force sewn into the fabric of the cosmos. Telastmar, the Cosmic Dyne, is the manifestation of these celestial orbits, keeping the Universe in constant movement. Because this turn of planets and moons controls the tides, Telastmar also holds sway over the oceans, though they curiously seem more concerned with the fish that live in such waters. Adherents claim that Telastmar is the lord and creator of all fish, guiding them on their migrations throughout rivers and seas.

Like most aeons, Telastmar has more concern with natural laws than mortal lives, but they can be pleased and courted by would-be adherents. Those who study the stars and planets can sometimes find divine inspiration in their elaborate orreries, as the same patterns that underpin the cosmos converge to provide glimpses of the future or fortuitous turns of fate. They also favor space travelers, and a tiny few who have returned to their home planets have claimed sightings of the great starry god-whale swimming alongside their ship.

Most of Telastmar’s worshippers are in academic centers, as the first arbitrator is too esoteric to attract followers from working fishers and sailors. Their mortal cult typically attracts astronomers and travelers who journey between the stars. Those attuned to the tides, stars, and wildlife migrations of the sea, such as migrant Taotake families or the sailors of Minata, sometimes see Telastmar, though most consider them to be a large, powerful spirit. Telastmar has also been known to shine a rare light on those who have become lost in life due to ill fate—a particularly unusual trait in an aeon.
