Those unfortunate enough to meet Vermilion Mother are stalked in their sleep, choked nightly by her dream of a world overrun by plants and fungi. This sahkil tormentor cares little for those of flesh and blood, only that their bodies make for excellent fertilizer.
The Endless Root is worshipped by creatures with a strong preference for nature over civilization, pointing to industry and urbanization as roots of crime and pollution. She doesn’t care for worship but accepts it as a way to promote growth and propagation, enlisting her followers to protect plant life of all kinds. She is one of the few sahkil tormentors to have followers who don’t live wicked lifestyles, some of them even believing themselves benevolent as they work to keep nature unspoiled. But more often than not, her followers are fanatically devoted to the protection of plants to the point of killing anyone they judge as harmful to their territory, using them as sacrifices to feed the undergrowth.
