Myr (The Guide of Perfection)Source Divine Mysteries pg. 300Myr, the Guide of Perfection, believed in honoring the past and respecting the wishes of the ancestors to follow an individual path forward. She taught that doing good deeds and living a charitable life honors those that came before and promotes a value in all life. While she promoted perfecting one’s body, it wasn’t her most significant edict. As society in Azlant prospered and grew, however, some took Myr’s teachings at face value. They prayed to Myr for aid in physical perfection and ignored the values of her other teachings. This made Myr an unconventional, but popular, goddess for warriors and athletes.
The traditional followers of Myr, while still caring for the physical bodies, resonate more closely with her teachings of charity. They will often be found performing acts of service for those less fortunate. Priests of Myr teach that if those with excess would share willingly, there will always be enough for all.
Marriage and family are very important to those who follow Myr. Honoring the past to continue the prosperity of the present and future is a key tenant among Myr’s followers, even for those who never had children themselves. Her following declined after the fall of the Azlanti empire, and those who remain can likely trace their lineage back to Myr’s first followers. Because of the importance of heritage to Myr and her followers, the fall from grace of her daughter
Sicva is Myr’s greatest shame.
