Outer Rifts. The Blistering Womb is also surrounded by smaller leviathans that can survive the toxic waters that protect her from demonic intrusions. Scholars believe that Cyth-V’sug, a
qlippoth who became a
demon lord, was spawned from one of her blisters. Most recently, she also gave birth to Nyuo-Ogh, one of the most recent qlippoth lords to rise.
The Blistering Womb’s cultists, who often congregate at the edge of poisonous waters or in shipwrecks, have a singular goal: to be reborn as qlippoths. They care little that such a transformation means the obliteration of everything they currently are. Devotions to Oaur-Ooung include drinking foul concoctions of poisons and waste liquids, swimming long distances through tainted waters, and ritual sacrifices of living creatures via drowning. Those who please Oaur- Ooung are granted the ability to craft hideous creatures from the severed pieces of their own bodies. This often results in nearby communities hunting down these newly created monsters. In the end, the souls of the worshippers of the Blistering Womb are sent to her realm for her to do with as she sees fit, usually consuming them instead of transforming them.
