PFS StandardAnimated Kite

An animated kite is perfect for spying, allowing observation from a great distance, although many are treated more like pets. The kite itself is a simple handcraft, easily created and destroyed, made of enchanted paper stretched over a fine bamboo frame. More advanced kites can be decorated with a variety of runes that allow the enchanter to see or hear from a distance.

Construct Armor Like normal objects, an animated kite has Hardness. This Hardness reduces any damage it takes by an amount equal to the Hardness. Once an animated kite is reduced to less than half its Hit Points, or immediately upon being damaged by a critical hit, its construct armor breaks and its Armor Class is reduced to 13.

Many types of animated constructs, objects, and handcrafts have existed in Tian Xia. Some, like the terra-cotta soldiers of Lingshen, are well-known. Others are rarer and less commonly encountered. Tian animated handcrafts are built from traditional artisan materials of differing rarity and with varying levels of effort, relying on crafting skill and quality components more than simple spellcasting.

Common motifs in Tian animated handcrafts include woven straw, silk embroidery, lacquered wood, or mother-of-pearl inlays. Purely decorative handcrafts might have more outlandish elements, such as live fish in glass tanks or living silk kites that battle each other in the skies above wealthy neighborhoods.
